This one-way latching valve, designed as a passive alternative to pyrotechnic valves, is made of stainless steel and features a tungsten carbide ball, inline mount assembly, and an elastomer seal to prevent leakage. It primarily functions as a fuel flow prevention device for turbojet engines and is also used for flow prevention, venting, and actuation in engine bleed systems, rockets, satellites, and spacecraft. This valve is compatible with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, offers a flow range of 65 to 365 ohms, is equipped with AS-4 to AS-4 fitting connections, and has been 100% function tested.
